Engine Diagnostics
When your check engine light comes on, don't ignore it. We offer a free inspection (a code scan plus a visual inspection), walk-in or by appointment. A code scan reads the fault codes your car has stored. Diagnostics is for when we need more time to find the root cause: it costs $250, waived when the repair is completed by our shop. We use Snap-on and Matco bi-directional scan tools, which read codes and live data and let us command components on and off to test them. We diagnose everything from simple sensor problems to complex engine and transmission issues.

Rodent Damage Repair
We see rodent-damaged cars every week at our San Bruno shop. Rats and mice shelter in warm engine bays overnight, build nests in air boxes and cabin air filter housings, and chew through wiring insulation, vacuum lines and hood insulation. Our technicians trace every damaged circuit, repair or replace the chewed harness sections with correct connectors and heat-shrink, remove nesting material, and verify each system before you get the car back. Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Subaru owners on the Peninsula bring us the most rodent damage, but it happens to every make, including Teslas and European cars.
