Tesla does not technically void your warranty for skipping routine maintenance, but they do recommend specific service intervals. Brake fluid testing is recommended every 2 years. Cabin air filters every 2 years on Model 3/Y. Tire rotation every 6,250 miles. HEPA filters every 3 years on Model S/X. Skipping these does not void the powertrain warranty, but it can void coverage for the specific component if neglect caused the failure.

What does a Tesla brake fluid test involve?
We use a refractometer to measure the moisture content of your brake fluid. Tesla recommends replacement when moisture exceeds 3.5% or every 2 years. Wet brake fluid has a lower boiling point, which matters more in mountain driving or track use. The test takes 5 minutes. Replacement adds about 30 minutes. This is one of the most important but most overlooked Tesla maintenance items.
Does Express Auto service all Tesla models including Model S and Plaid?
Yes. We service Model 3, Model Y, Model S (including Plaid), Model X, and Model X Plaid. We have access to the official Tesla diagnostic software for all models. Model S and X have additional HEPA filter service (every 3 years) and air suspension inspection requirements.
